A message to the Content Management working group

Primary tabs

We want to thank you all once again for the wonderful contributions you are making to the Resilience Systems.

We are going to take this opportunity to share a few posting highlights, and let you know that in the near future we intend to establish a link to our instruction sets within the Content Management group.

Here are a few posting highlights:

When posting older time-sensitive articles, please remember to adjust the publication date under “Authoring information” / “Authored on”. Doing so will ensure that our material is posted in chronological order according to the article publication dates. Of course if the article is not time-sensitive and is important or just as applicable today as it was on the date of publication, please feel free to use a current publication date. Ideally we would like to have current information towards the top of the Home page.

Posts will only appear within groups that are selected, and domains that are checked. It is important to make sure that the groups you select are actually within the domains in which you check the boxes for. For example, the group titled “Health” is within the SF Bay Area Resilience System, so that group should not be selected unless you are wanting the post to appear within that domain (and that domain box is checked). It is recommended that you open a separate browser window to the group page for each domain in which you are wanting to post. This is to ensure the proper titles for the various groups are selected, since so many of the titles are similar.

Please include a photo image or logo (if available) within each front page post. Images tend to draw attention to the posts, and enhances the appearance of the page.

Always use the Preview button to check for spelling errors, and the general appearance of the post . . . then click Save.

Thank you all so much for your help. We deeply appreciate your dedicated assistance.

Kathy
