Greg Abbott tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, according to his office, who said he is in good health and experiencing no symptoms. CDC investigating monkeypox case in Dallas in traveler from Nigeria The CDC and local health officials in Dallas said Friday they are investigating a case of an unusual virus called monkeypox in a traveler coming from Nigeria. Maggie Fox, CNN CNN

The CDC and health officials in Dallas said although the traveler flew while infected, they don't believe it's likely anyone else on the flight was infected. They're checking just in case, though.

125 church campers in Texas test positive for COVID-19 "Hundreds more were exposed to COVID-19 at camp, and hundreds of others were likely exposed when infected people returned home from camp," the church told its followers. Newsweek

A "student ministry camp" in Texas has resulted in more than 125 campers coming down with COVID-19.

Over the weekend, the Clear Creek Community Church of League City sent a message to its members announcing a coronavirus outbreak during the church's four-day youth camping trip in Camp Tejas, a retreat area located in Giddings, Texas. Over 450 people attended the camp, which included kids in grades 6 through 12.
