Element of a Green Circular Political Economy?
We are introducing 3D printing projects to help build a green circular political economy in places which have under-developed local value chains. The idea is to enable local value creation that benefits the local community.
This is an interesting example of 3D printing that may have social value within a green circular economy. Here are a few questions? What is the cost of the machine that prints these houses? Where is the printing machine built? How many petrochemicals are used in moving this machine from the US to El Salvador, and in the process of building this house? What is the carbon foot print of the house?
What is the substrate that is used as the building material? Where does it come from? Is there any toxicity or waste involved in the process?
Interesting and thought-provoking post.
