Data Sources:
Demographic Data from the Demographic and Statistical Atlas of the US for each Census Blockgroup. Data is from the US Census Bureau, specifically from the 2010 census, and from the 2012-2016 American Community Survey. All the data can be found at American FactFinder.
Environmental Hazard data is from EPA EJSCREEN. Documentation and data files can be downloaded from ftp://newftp.epa.gov/EJSCREEN/. Indicators for air quality (PM and NATA indicators) were obtained for each Census tract, so each block group in a tract was assigned the same environmental indicator value, as described in the Technical Documentation.
