Ebola trend by country - graphical

The graphical representation of suspected ebola cases, lab confirmed cases, and deaths in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Nigeria demonstrates the seriousness of the ongoing epidemic.  However, it says nothing about the strategy that is needed going forward to contain the disease.  

A social network analysis of infected individuals and affected communities should be undertaken.  Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly migration and gathering patterns need to be analyzed.  With this information in hand we will begin to gain a sense of how the ebola virus is likely to spread.  Understanding the geospatial probabilities of spread will enable more effective quarantine and education strategies.
