The mission of this Working Group is to explore how culture and environment shape mentation, behavior, social process, and social structure. The gross morphology of the human brain has not changed significantly over many hundreds of thousands, or perhaps millions of years. Yet, there are significant differences in cognitive capacities, functional life capacity, and quality of life between a human living in a modern metroplex and his ancestors of even ten thousand years ago.

If not from the evolution of the brain, what has determined the differences in mental capacities, and behavior.

This Working Group is focused on exploring a second replicator in human evolution.

"Syrian opposition seeks to wipe the Assad name off the map -Via Google"

Revolutionaries, anti -government activist  are tearing down signs and renaming "streets, bridges and boulevards" and replacing them with their heroes.
It seems it began from Social Media using Facebook to gain support, and now they are electronically renaming the same in Google maps.

Population decline is the elephant in the world's living room. As a matter of arithmetic, we know that the social life of most developed countries will break down within two generations. Two out of three Italians and three of four Japanese will be elderly dependents by 2050.

Politics Online 2009 Conference

We all like to talk about how much we use technology (hence all the posts and memos we've all written on our own sites about how to use Twitter, Facebook, etc.).

But how many of us have actually looked at the user experiences of Members of Congress, as they work through the highs and lows of social media in political office?

Or asked a Senator what it felt like to post the tweet heard around the country?
