Below is a short biography of Global Resilience Initiatives, Inc. (GRI)
Global Resilience Initiatives, Inc. was founded in 1995 as a Maryland Corporation under the name, Global Health Initiatives, Inc. Its founders were Dr. Michael D. McDonald, Dr. C. Everett Koop (former U.S. Surgeon General), LtGen (ret.) Alexander Sloan (former Air Force Surgeon General), and David J. Taylor, Esq. Global Resilience Initiatives, Inc. was moved to Washington, D.C. in 2013. Global Resilience Initiatives is working on health, human security, resilience, and sustainability in the United States and in several other countries as the technical lead on the Global Resilience System and its nested sub-systems.
Global Resilience Initiatives, Inc. (for a decade and a half as Global Health Initiatives, Inc.) built health information infrastructures, health decision-making systems, disaster knowledge management systems, resilience systems, and resilience networks. GRI is now a leading researcher and developer of distributed collectively intelligent grids, which underlie the Resilience Systems.
