Health | Vietnam | U.S. Agency for International Development The USAID Vietnam Health program aims to increase prevention and control of infectious diseases by building sustainable health systems that support Vietnam’s efforts to plan, finance, and implement solutions. U.S. Agency for International Development

The Government of Vietnam (GVN) has made remarkable strides in improving the health of the country’s citizens. However, much remains to be done in the areas of HIV, tuberculosis (TB), and global health security. The U. S. Agency for International Development (USAID) partners with the GVN to create inclusive health care systems to address long standing and emerging infectious disease threats, to ensure better health for the people of Vietnam.

July 24 (Reuters) - The World Bank's fund to help developing countries better prepare for pandemics has raised $667 million from the United States and $54 million from Germany, moving it closer towards its goal of reaching at least $2 billion in new funding.
